2026-2027 TRIP OF THE MONTH - RULES & REGULATIONS

Raffle Overview

1. The raffle includes 12 monthly travel draws and 12 cash prizes of $120 each, for 24 total prizes valued at $31,440.
2. A maximum of 450 tickets will be sold. Sold and unsold tickets, along with all raffle paperwork, will be kept for two years from the draw date.
3. Tickets may not be sold to anyone under 18, and names of individuals under 18 may not appear on ticket stubs.
4. Licensed charity members and their families may purchase tickets.

Ticket Sales and Draw Rules

1. Tickets are $120.00, are non-refundable, and must be paid in full by e-transfer, cash, or cheque payable to Indus Ringette Association. Cheques must be received by November 13, 2026, and dated no later than November 16, 2026, to be eligible for the 2026-2027 draws.
2. If fewer than 400 tickets are sold by November 16, 2026, Indus Ringette Association may request a draw-date extension or raffle cancellation.
3. Draws will be held during IRA Monthly Board Meetings on the first Monday of each month, or the second Monday if the first Monday is a holiday. The first draw is on December 7, 2026, for the November 2026 prize; the final draw is on November 1, 2027, for the October 2027 prize.
4. Draws will be held at Indus Recreation Centre, 225155A Range Rd 281A, using a clear plastic draw box. Each draw will be witnessed by two IRA Executive members and at least one member of the public. The draw facilitator must have no personal interest in the draw. Winners will be contacted, informed of their options, and listed on the IRA website.

Winner Selection and Prize Claiming

1. If a winning ticket lists two names, IRA will award the prize to the individual identified on the ticket. IRA and AGLC are not responsible for disputes between individuals listed on the ticket.
2. The first ticket drawn is for the travel prize or voucher; the second is for the $120 cash prize. Winning tickets remain eligible for all 24 draws, and all draws are public.
3. All travel prizes and vouchers must be booked within 90 days of the draw date through Christina Bethlehem at Kaleidoscope Travel & Cruise in Carseland, AB, using agency-approved suppliers. IRA TOTM will reimburse the agency directly for the prize value; winners may not book travel independently and request reimbursement.
4. If the quoted destination is unavailable or no longer offered, an equivalent alternative will be suggested. If the prize is not booked within 90 days, or if the winner declines the trip, voucher, or available alternative, the prize will convert to a $875.00 cash payout.
5. Travel prizes and voucher bookings must be used within one year of the draw date. If the $875.00 cash payout is not claimed within 12 months of the draw date, the unclaimed prize will be donated to the IRA and used according to the approved Use of Proceeds, upon AGLC approval.

Travel Prize Conditions

1. Travel prizes are non-transferable and may not be resold.
2. All air travel departs from Calgary, AB. Winners are responsible for travel to the Calgary airport, or to and from the destination for self-drive prizes. Parking, overnight airport stays, seat selection, baggage, fuel charges, resort fees, cleaning fees, and any other additional costs are not included.
3. Trip flexibility is required, as hotels may have conventions or blackout dates during holiday periods.
4. “Vacation packages” are pre-packaged vacations bundled by one supplier, such as WestJet Vacations, Sunwing Vacations, Air Canada Vacations, or Air Canada Vacations Tours.

Travel Responsibilities, Insurance, and Fees

1. Kaleidoscope Travel & Cruise will quote available travel insurance at booking. Winners may insure any out-of-pocket personal costs paid above the IRA TOTM prize value; however, the IRA TOTM-paid portion cannot be insured by the winner because it is not an out-of-pocket expense. Winners' credit card insurance may not apply as the full trip cost is charged to the winner’s credit card. If insurance is declined, the winner must sign and return the required travel waiver before travel documents are released.
2. Travellers are responsible for valid passports, proper identification, and all destination entry and exit requirements, including visas, documents, fees, travel letters or custody agreements for children, waivers, pardons, and any other required documentation.
3. Kaleidoscope Travel & Cruise is not responsible for costs, eligibility issues, supplier changes, or destination requirements not included in the prize.
4. Any costs above the IRA TOTM prize value, including upgrades, add-ons, fees, and other out-of-pocket expenses, are the winner’s responsibility and must be paid as outlined during the agency quote process.
5. If the prize awarded is used for airfare only, professional planning fees apply, are subject to GST, and must be paid directly to the agency before booking: domestic flights — $40 for the first person and $10 for each additional person on the same itinerary; North America flights — $50 for the first person and $15 for each additional person on the same itinerary; international flights — $100 for the first person and $50 for each additional person on the same itinerary.
