VOLUNTEER AND JERSEY BONDS

We will no longer be collecting cheques upfront for our volunteer and jersey bonds, instead charges will be posted to a player’s RAMP account if bond requirements are not fulfilled.

JERSEY BONDS

If jerseys are damaged in any way, lost, or stolen, a charge of $250 will be posted to the player’s account in RAMP.

VOLUNTEER BONDS

The volunteer bond is a mandatory bond that will be enforced. In the event a family does not fulfill their volunteer bond hours by April 1 of the current season, one volunteer bond charge of $400 per family will be posted to the player’s account in RAMP. Charges are NOT prorated based on the number of volunteer bond hours outstanding.

Each family is required to volunteer a minimum of 8 hours for the Indus Ringette Association. It is the sole responsibility of the family to seek out approved opportunities to ensure they fulfill their 8-hour commitment.

This is a mandatory program that will be enforced. Families who have not complied with the policy will not be eligible to register any of their players for the following season until their volunteer bond commitment and administrative fees are met through payment.

The Indus Ringette Association Volunteer Coordinator will be in charge of tracking volunteer hours. Please be sure to sign in for all volunteer roles. Throughout the season volunteer opportunities may be emailed to the Indus Ringette Association membership. Families can also check the Indus Ringette Association website for new opportunities. Volunteers will be taken on a first come, first serve basis.

During the season, the following are some examples of volunteer roles where members can fulfill their bond hours:

  • Welcome table (during Evaluations)
  • Come Try Ringette welcome table
  • Trip of the Month ticket distribution
  • Chestermere and Langdon Parades
  • Parents’ Icebreaker Pub Night
  • Ice Angels Tournament support
  • Year-End celebration support
  • IRA financials auditor
  • BVAS Men’s Auction
  • Head Coach, Assistant Coach, or Manager
  • Volunteer role or position on the Board of Directors

Volunteer time within each individual team does not count towards a family’s volunteer bond as they are deemed necessary towards a team’s functionality. These include items such as: timekeeper, scorekeeper, penalty box and shot clock.
