Rules and Regulations for the 2025-2026 Trip of the Month Raffle
- Prizes are non-transferable. There are 12 monthly travel draws and 12 cash prizes of $120 each, for a total of 24 prizes with a retail value of $31,440.
- There will be 450 tickets sold. All tickets sold and unsold, and all raffle-related paperwork will be retained for 2 years from the draw date.
- Tickets cost $120.00 and are payable in full. Accepted payment methods are cash, cheque (payable to Indus Ringette Association. All cheques must be received by the last day of ticket sales, December 5, 2025, to be eligible for the 2025-2026 draws. Tickets are non-refundable.
- Raffle tickets may not be sold to individuals under 18 years of age. Names of individuals under 18 years of age may not appear on ticket stubs.
- There are no restrictions on the licensed charity members or their families’ buying tickets.
- Indus Ringette Association may request a draw date extension or cancellation of the raffle if a minimum of 400 tickets are not sold by December 6, 2025.
- If a winning ticket lists two names, the IRA will award it to one individual only, as identified on the ticket. IRA and AGLC are not responsible for disputes between individuals listed on the ticket stub.
- Draws will take place during the IRA Monthly Board Meetings, which are held on the first Monday of every month, unless the Monday is a holiday, and then it is the second Monday. The 1st draw will be the exception and will take place on December 17, 2025 and the final draw will on November 2, 2026. The first ticket drawn is for the travel prize or voucher; the second ticket is for the $120 cash prize. Winning tickets remain eligible for all 24 draws. All draws are public.
- All draws are made at Indus Recreation Center, 225155A Range Rd 281A, witnessed by 2 IRA Executive members and at least one other member of the public. The draw facilitator must have no personal interest in the draw. Draws will be conducted using a clear plastic draw box. The winners will be contacted and informed of their options. The winners are listed on the IRA Website.
- Travel prizes or vouchers must be booked through Christina Bethlehem at Kaleidoscope Travel & Cruise (Carseland, AB) within 90 days of the draw date. If the travel prize is not booked within 90 days, the prize converts to a $875 cash prize.
- All travel prizes, including those booked with the voucher, must be used within one year of the draw date. All prizes are guaranteed for one year from the draw date. If a trip is not booked within 90 days of the draw date or subsequently, and the cash payout is not claimed within 12 months after the draw date, unclaimed prizes will be donated to the IRA and used as per our approved Use of Proceeds, upon AGLC approval.
- If a quoted destination is no longer offered or is unavailable, an alternative of equivalent value will be suggested.
- If the winner declines the trip or voucher or the alternate suggested based on availability, they will receive a $875.00 cash payout.
- All travel prizes are non-transferable; the trip cannot be resold.
- All air travel is from Calgary, AB. Winners are responsible for all travel costs to the Calgary Airport. For self-drive prizes, winners are responsible for all travel costs to and from the destination. Parking, overnight airport stays, seat selection, baggage and fuel charges are not included. Any additional resort charges, including but not limited to resort or cleaning fees, are not included and are the responsibility of the winner to pay.
- Flexibility is required as hotels may have conventions and other blackout dates during holiday periods.
- Winners are required to sign required travel waivers, including those related to COVID-19, travel advisories, declined insurance and any other applicable agency waivers at the time of booking.
- COVID-19 is still a known pandemic, and travel rules and regulations can change daily and without notice. Mandated vaccine requirements and/or testing for exit and/ or entry into the visiting/ returning country of travel are solely the responsibility of the winner and their travelling companions.
- Provide proof of valid out-of-country medical insurance if travelling out of the country.
- Trip upgrades are allowed at the winner's expense.
- Insurance available for purchase will be quoted by Kaleidoscope Travel & Cruise once the trip has been booked. The value of the trip cannot be insured, even if an upgrade is done by the winner.
